Workshops & Related Events
On Sunday 4 July 2010, a pre-conference workshop will be held at the Australian Centre for Microscopy & Microanalysis (ACMM) at the University of Sydney, which is the largest and most comprehensive facility of its type in Australia. The Key Centre is the headquarters of the Australian Microscopy & Microanalysis Research Facility (AMMRF), and it is a node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Design in Light Metals.
The Sunday School will offer tutorial sessions on basic theory, applications and interpretation to high- field nanoscience and atom probe technology and applications. It serves people who are new to the field and people looking for background knowledge and fundamental understandings. The key lectures will be delivered by four distinguished experts, Prof. Richard Forbes, Prof. Hans Juergen Kreuzer, Dr Mike Miller and Dr Stephan Gerstl.

21st Australian Conference on Microscopy and Microanalysis (ACMM-21), Brisbane
The Australian Conference on Microscopy and Microanalysis, hosted by the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Society (AMMS Inc.), is held bi-annually in major cities around the country. It is Australia’s largest microscopy conference.
The next conference, ACMM-21, will be held from 11–15 July 2010 at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
IFES 2010 is conveniently scheduled in the week before ACMM-21, which accommodates for delegates who wish to travel onwards to Brisbane to combine both conferences.
