Symposium and Pre Symposium Workshop Registration Fees
All persons intending to attend the Symposium must register, including Invited Speakers, Oral Presenters, Poster Presenters and Chairpersons.
All fees are per person, are in Australian Dollars and include the 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Payment of fees
Payment may be made by credit card and cheque.
Credit card payments: The following credit cards are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Conference by arinex P/L’.
Cheques should be made payable to IFES 2010 Symposium. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian Dollars, drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency will be accepted.
Cheque payments will only be accepted until Wednesday 2 June 2010 to ensure that we receive the cheque and also to ensure that the cheque is processed in time for the commencement of the Symposium. After this date, all registrations (including accommodation bookings) must be submitted with credit card payment via the online registration form or by calling +61 2 9265 0700.
You may not pay your fees by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Symposium Managers.
Before 5 April 2010 will incur a A$100.00 cancellation fee.
Before 2 June 2010 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid.
After 2 June 2010 there will be no refund.
A minimum one night’s deposit must be paid or credit card details given at time of booking to guarantee reservation. Deposit is non-refundable at 2 June 2010.
Payments are non-refundable after 2 June 2010.
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form.
You will not receive any further publications before the Symposium. Your letter of acknowledgment will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the Symposium.
Australian Visa Application
All travellers to Australia, other than Australian and New Zealand citizens, are legally required to hold a valid visa to travel to Australia.
Visas are either issued electronically (ETA) with nothing appearing in the passport or through application where a sticker is required in the passport (Non-ETA).
It is advised to apply for your visa as soon as possible to ensure processing time. The minimum time frame stated for an Australian visa application is six (6) weeks.

Entry Requirements to Symposium
Each member of the Symposium will receive a name badge on registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The Symposium Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserves the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the Symposium and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Symposium, or through cancellation of the Symposium, loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia, failure to utilise tours or pre booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Symposium managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.
Private Touring/Hospitality Arrangements
Should you have any specialised group requirements for private touring, transportation or hospitality services other than those organised for the official program, please contact the Symposium Managers who would be pleased to assist with arrangements.
It is requested that you advise the Symposium Managers of any private /corporate functions that might be planned outside of the official program. The Symposium Managers would be pleased to assist with arrangements for any of these events.
